Question-With so many churches in Olathe, why did you start Olathe Faith Journey?

Answer-There are many quality churches in Olathe, but we believe our focus is a little different.  We saw the statistics of people not attending church in Olathe and the surrounding areas and had a dream of taking the life giving message of Christ and His Love to the Marketplace.  Instead of waiting for the people to come to the church, we decided to follow the example of Christ and take Him to the place where people shop, work and live. We exist to see lives transformed.

Question-Is your church open to visitors? and where do you meet exactly?

Answer-We love to have new people check out our church. Each week we have new people visit us for Sunday morning worship at 10:30am. We just moved out of the Ball Conference Center .   We are currently moving to a large retail location in the Olathe Great Plains Mall with our first Sunday here on March 9, 2008!!! We are thrilled to be making more room as we grow.

Question-I used to attend church years ago and I just fell away from God and all that used to mean to me. Recently I have felt like I am missing something big in my life. Does God give me a second chance if I want to try again?

Answer-That missing thing is God calling you back into a relationship with Him. God wants to reconnect with you.  God is a God of second chances.  Christianity is not so much about 'rules' as it is about a relationship with the Creator. You should be excited that you are being called back to a vital relationship with God and have the chance to experience new life.

Question-Does your church actually believe the Bible is real?

Answer-Faith Journey Church is committed to the teachings of the Bible. We believe that the Bible is God's Word. We realize that there are things in the Bible that require us to have faith, but that is part of the beauty of the Christian life. If God was able to be the Creator of this complex world, then surely He could get the things He wanted into a book. The Bible is the primary authority for us to know the Will, the Ways and the Character of our Lord. The Bible has also stood the test of time and human experience.  The more we test God's Word the more relevant it is! Check out our church to see how God's Word has inspired many lives to have a better life!

Question-What time does your Sunday morning service typically begin and end? and is there anything for my kids?

Answer-Our weekly service begins at 10:30am. Food, fresh coffee, lemonaide and hot chocolate are available starting at 10am. Our services get out each week before Noon.  We have a special service for kids each week with our children's director Rubie and her staff. We also have a nice set up for our nursery and toddler room which are available from 10:15am to 30 minutes following the end of service.

Question-Am I able to bring in the coffee and food in the morning service?

Answer-You can bring in all the goodies you want! In fact we supply you with the best goodies each week.  We have a relaxed atmosphere so you can enjoy the worship and service.

Question-Is your church real pushy about giving money? I have been to churches where it seemed like all they wanted was my money...are you like that?

Answer-Good question. No, our church doesn't even pass an offering plate in the service.  We do have places set up in the entryway to the sanctuary to give Tithes and offerings each week, but we are not pushy or require someone to give to attend our church. We allow people to give as the Lord places the desire in their heart.

Question-Will someone actually pray over my concerns if I email or call them?

Answer-Not only will we pray over your needs and concerns...we love to do it! It is our great priviledge to have you share that information with us and intrust us with your heart.  We take it as an honor to approach our Savior with our needs.  If you want prayer email pastor@faithjourneychurch.com or call 913-205-JRNY (5769).

If you have any questions feel free to drop us an email or call.
